Food Services at UTSG recently welcomed a delegation of culinary professionals from several leading universities within England, Scotland and Ireland. As part of their visit to Canada, they met with our very own Chef Jaco Lokker, who gave them a brief tour of campus. They were very interested to hear about how Food Services works with local food producers and all about our partnerships with various campus groups in order to promote sustainable food practices.
Chef Jonathan gave the group a sample of our Sandwich of the Month for May at The Cube and then they were on their way. The group was in Canada for a 10-day tour of campus culinary operations in southwestern and eastern Ontario and visited the Niagara and Greenbelt regions as well while they were here.
